Özgörkey Gıda is also active in the agricultural sector in addition to the food sector. Öztar Tohumculuk was established in 2003 to conduct research and development activities in the field of seeds and agriculture and operates in a 1500 square meter greenhouse and research laboratories in İzmir Torbalı Facilities. The company has a special research certificate issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Öztar develops various projects with Ege University and Agricultural Research Organizations within the framework of potato seed research and development. Our team of specialized agricultural engineers and technicians work both in the laboratory and in the field and carry out Eurepgap and GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) projects. Our fully equipped greenhouse and laboratories in Torbalı facility are the main working area of ÖZTAR team.

Özgörkey Gıda stores its raw materials under atmosphere controlled conditions. The computerized high-tech potato raw material warehouse has a capacity of 30,000 tons. These high quality raw materials are used to produce high quality products. Our new potato seed warehouse in the Konya region has a capacity of 8,000 tons. Özgörkey Gıda is changing the agricultural practices in Türkiye:

• For the first time in Turkish agriculture, pea harvesting machines, spinach harvesting machines, green bean harvesting machines and corn harvesting machines were used.
• Özgörkey Gıda also cooperated with farmers to install drip irrigation systems in all fields in order to preserve our natural resources.
